On May 14, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University held a commemorative event to mark its 46th anniversary, presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Achirawut Supanphasat, Dean of the Faculty. The ceremony was warmly attended by university executives, faculty members, staff, and students.
One of the eventâs highlights was theofficial handover of a mobile dental clinic,generously donated by Mr. Wirot Srisodsai, who recognized the barriers many people in remote areas face in accessing dental care. His aim was to ensure that vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and bedridden patients receive quality oral healthcare.
. AT U DENTAL is honored to have played a vital role in this meaningful mission by serving as the designer and manufacturer of the mobile dental clinic, which was delivered to the Royal Mobile Dental Unit under this impactful initiative.
âĻ Key Features of the Mobile Dental Clinic
This state-of-the-art vehicle is designed to provide comprehensive dental care in the field and includes:
- Two fully equipped dental treatment units
- Central waiting area
- Equipment for scaling, fillings, extractions, and simple dentures
- Digital intraoral X-ray system
- UV air filtration and sterilization system
- Wheelchair-accessible lift
- Bluetooth queue calling system
- Backup battery with 4â6 hours of independent operation
Asst. Prof. Dr. Achirawut âThis new mobile unit enables us to perform more complex procedures in outreach programsâsuch as wisdom tooth extractions and root canal treatmentsâwhich were previously difficult to carry out on-site.â
ðŽ From the Donorâs Heart to the Heart of Care
Mr. Wirot Srisodsai, donor of the mobile clinic, said: âThis vehicle is like bringing a dental clinic straight to peopleâs homes. I wanted to ensure that both patients and medical staff felt at easeâwith a pleasant scent, calming music, and a stress-free environmentânot the typical fear-inducing clinic setting.â
He also donated additional essential medical equipment, including blood pressure monitors, oxygen concentrators, and pulse oximeters.

Another major milestone on the same day was the opening of the Digital Dental Lab, which enables real-time collaboration between lab services and the mobile dental unit. This advancement enhances the efficiency of on-site procedures and gives dental students hands-on learning experiences that reflect real-world public service.
